A section of the Federal Secretariat Complex along Okpanam road in Delta state was on Tuesday, engulfed by fire.
According to reports, the inferno started through the surge of an air conditioner installed in the administrative office of the National Youth Service Corps and destroyed valuable properties.
Assistant Controller General of Zone K of the state fire service was at the complex to put off the fire.
However, there was major setback in putting out the fire as the offices were locked ,leaving the firemen to strive to put out the fire from outside.
Officers of the state police command were on ground to maintain order and ascertain the level of the damage caused by the inferno.
