Anambra Civil Society Network (ACSONET) a platform for Non State Actors and Stakeholders, has felicitated with Ndi Anambra, friends and well wishers on the occasion of Thirty Years Of the State’s creation.
In a statement released by its Chairman, Prince Chris Azor, the group recalled that ‘Anambra State, was carved out of old Anambra on 27th August, 1991, due to the desire to scale up the potentials and dividends of development.
He observed that since creation, the State has taken a quantum leap in growth and infrastructural development, earning the fame, Light of The Nation.
According to him, Anambra has lived up to expectations as a State with immense human, natural and economic resources, populated by people who are imbued with extraordinary intellect and enterprise.
Prince Azor maintained that the highly industrious and resourceful people of Anambra State have justified the need for a State of their own by the remarkable developmental strides recorded in all spheres of life and existence.
He added that currently, Anambra has the lowest poverty index in Nigeria, the highest growth rate of manufacturing outfits and import substitution in rice and vegetable production in Nigeria.
Azor further noted that today, Anambra is the State with the lowest loan exposure and Unemployment Rate in the country.
