Fathers Charged to be Alive to Their Responsibilities

The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, gave the charge in his presidential address at the just concluded fifteenth Aguata Diocesan Men’s Christian Fellowship Conference, held at Saint Augustine’s Anglican Church, Umunze, in Orumba Council Area.

He said fathers should rise up to their divine tasks and be the light of their various homes.

The Bishop, whose address centered on the theme of the conference; “Divine Principles of Transformation One-Discipleship”, admonished fathers should be mindful of their responsibilities in their families, church and larger society.

The Anglican Bishop also decried the increasing national challenges facing Nigeria, urging men to always lead their families aright through prayers.

Bishop Ezeofor who is also the National Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion EFAC Nigeria, further called for equity and justice in the power sharing structure in Anambra State, adding that only those who promoted equity, love and fair play should be voted for in the November sixth Governorship election in the State.

Contributing, the Archdeacon of Ezinifite Archdeaconry, Venerable David Obiagboso, who moves a motion for the acceptance of the presidential address as a working document for the Men’s Ministry in Aguata Diocese, which was seconded by Mr Samuel Okonkwo, commended Bishop Ezeofor and wife for their strong support to both the men and women’s ministry in Aguata Diocese and beyond.

Also speaking, the Champlain of Aguata Christian Men’s Fellowship, Reverend Davidson Okoye, extolled fathers for their roles in the family and the church, and urged them to remain steadfast and courageous, and also asked that government should create better environment for all genders.
