… Vow To Resist Any Plot To Rig The Election

Governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform, and major stakeholders in the party have stamped their unalloyed support for Valentine Ozigbo as the Anambra State Governorship election draws near.
They also vowed to resist any attempt to rig the coming Saturday election.
Chairman of the PDP National Campaign Council for Anambra state governorship election, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state reaffirmed their stand during the party’s mega rally in Awka, to cap up the party’s campaign for the Anambra state governorship election, which took place at the Alex Ekwueme’s Square, Awka.
Governor Ikpeazu who was accompanied by Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, as well as Deputy Governor of Edo state, Philip Shuibu, declared that PDP during its just concluded national convention held at nation’s capital, Abuja, unequivocally maintained that it was prepared to “take back” the country’s reins of power from the All Progressives Congress, APC, come 2023 general election.
The PDP Stalwarts expressed optimism that with the popularity of the party in Anambra combined with the quality of the candidate, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, PDP would win the governorship poll.
According to the Abia State Governor, “The outcome of PDP national convention showed that the train has started for the recovery of Nigeria in 2023, and, I am sure that the people of Anambra can’t afford not to be in the train.

He charged the people of Anambra” reject those sent to capture Anambra state; nobody can capture nambra state in Jesus name”.
He urged voters in the state not to be intimidated by the massive security deployed to the state for the election, but to go and cast their votes for their preferred candidate, Valentine Ozigbo.
Ikpeazu told the people of the state ” I assure you that PDP Governors can protect votes cast for PDP in the election.
“Our candidate, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo is a humble person; he doesn’t claim to know it all; he is God fearing, and, a team player. May the fate that befell PDP in Edo state on the day of the election be your (Valentine Ozigbo’s) portion in Jesus name”, Ikpeazu prayed.
He noted that the South East has been in trouble under the current administration, and, had only been surviving by the Grace of God, citing that infrastructures in the region, especially roads had been abandoned, and, import and export facilities in the area in decay.
In their sperate speeches, Okowa, Makinde, and, Shuibu charged the people of the state to shun any act of intimidation that might be employed to scare them from coming out to vote in the election, but, to troop out enmass, and, vote for PDP, and, its candidate, Ozigbo.

Okowa urged members of the party to forgive any bottled up anger, and unite forces and work for the victory of the party.
Makinde described Ozigbo as a leader with the required vision to rebuild the state, and, urged the people of the state to chose him above all other contestants, saying “The governorship on Saturday is not a choice between good and evil; but a choice for the best material, and, the best material is Mr. Valentine Ozigbo”.
