
Anambra citizens and other stakeholders have been urged to support the drive to reposition the state to meet the demands of the Twenty-first Century.
The Managing Director of Anambra State Signage and Advertisement Agency, ANSAA, Chief Jude Emecheta, who made the call in Awka, said this would help expand socio-economic opportunities and accelerate the industrial development of the state
Chief Emechata pointed out that Governor Obiano’s legacy projects and development initiatives were designed to uplift the lives of the people and benefit future generations
He noted that Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri hold bright prospects for the state and would give a huge economic boost not only to the state but also to the entire South East region including unlocking the tourism sector.
The ANSAA boss urged the people of the state to embrace the ongoing House Numbering Scheme and placing of street signs for easy identification of locations as a necessity to upgrade to a smart state.
Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Mr Oscar Christopher assured that the state government has put in place all necessary measures to secure life and property throughout yuletide and beyond, noting that the synergy among security agencies is yielding the desired results.
Mr Christopher urged members of the various communities and residents of the state to provide useful and prompt information to security agents to enhance crime-fighting and prevention across the state.
