Reports reaching our News Desk said another filling station was raised by fire in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, when a diesel-laden tanker exploded in a petrol filling station identified as Master Energy.
It was gathered that the tanker was discharging diesel into the underground tank when it exploded.
The fire caused panic as residents scampered for safety and vehicles temporarily abandoned within the filling station, to avoid being caught up in the explosion.
Firefighters were also seen trying to control the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
