Anambra State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi, on Wednesday, 8th March 2022, commenced supervisory visits to Commands within the state jurisdiction.
The working visit took the Commander to RS5.33 Nteje Unit Command, and the Drivers License Center in Awka, where he inspected the Command and also checked the functional equipment in the clinic to ascertain their challenges.
At the Nteje Unit Command, the Sector Commander was welcomed by the Nteje Unit Commander, ACC Fanny Obasi, as well as the Officers and Men of the Command, the Unit Special Marshals, NCPCCI (National Community for Post Crash Care Initiative) also known as first responders, FRSC/NYSC CDS group members, and the Driving School Operators.
In his address, the FRSC Sector Commander commended officers and men of the Command for their resilience in the discharge of their duties; and urged them to brace for the challenges ahead, especially as regards recently commissioned Anambra State international Passenger and Cargo Airport, as well as the almost completed Second Niger Bridge which will amount to the higher volume of traffic.
He also urged them not to relent in carrying out their humanitarian duties of saving lives on the highway.
Commander Irelewuyi seriously warned the Officers and Men to desist from any form of bribery and corruption, stating that anyone caught will face the music. According to him, “anything gotten from an illegal means can never be beneficial to one”.
Also at the Drivers License Center, Awka, the Head, SRC Peter Itoya, and other staff members were at hand to welcome the Sector Commander.
Irelewuyi commended them for their diligence to work and also advised them to shun any act that can mar the image of the corps.
