Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of Engineer Emeka Okonkwo as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency, ARTMA.
Engineer Okonkwo who had previously served as the
Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia is taking up the new call of duty given his antecedents in traffic management during his time as the Dunukofia TC head.
Governor Soludo asked the new ARTMA chief to remember that a lot is expected of him in his new role as the current administration is mapping out strategies to curb disturbing traffic situations across major roads in the state, and wished him the best.
Responding, the new ATMA boss, Engineer Okonkwo praised Governor aSolduo for always going for the best in all his appointments, and pledged to bring in reforms that would transform traffic controls on Anambra roads.
Engineer Okonkwo also promised to work hand-in-hand with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the operation zero traffic in Anambra State that is spearheaded by the current administration is comprehensively achieved.
