The Archbishop, Province Of The Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim joined thousands of Anglican faithfuls to bid the final farewell to Late Revd. Emmanuel Ogbo, whom he described as an ambassador of peace and also charged Christians to understand that they are only sojourners on earth and are like passing shadows.
During his sermon at Emmanuel Anglican Church, Awgbu, On Thursday, 3rd November, 2022, the Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Revd. Samuel Ezeofor spoke on the gift of peace and also cited Luke 2: 25-34. He charged the Christians to pursue peace and be at peace with all men. He urged Christians to live an examplary life worthy of emulation in order to enjoy the peace that passes all understanding.
Revd. Ezeofor described late Ogboh as a humble and obedient servant of God, who served God and humanity in humility. He prayed for the repose of his soul and also prayed that God shall grant his wife, children and the church of God the fortitude to bear the loss.
In her interview, Mrs Ifeyinwa Adaka, the elder sister to late Revd. Ogboh described her younger brother as a kind and peaceful man. She prayed against the spirit premature death in their family and for the repose of his spirit.
Lay leader Sydney Obi and Mrs Nwokoye Ngozi described the late Ogboh as a succour to the poor, so peaceful and accommodating. They prayed that his soul will rest in His bosom.
