A Former Deputy National Publicity of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Timi Frank has called on the Department of State Services to keep off their plot of intimidating the governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele from office.
Speaking on Tuesday on the allegations against the CBN Governor made by the Coalition of United Political Parties in Abuja, he asked President Muhammadu Buhari to caution the DSS against fueling the already heightened security situation in the country.
He said that the rule of law and due process must be followed if there are issues against Emefiele and not the kangaroo and commando-styled operation by the DSS that was also used to remove a former Chief Justice of the country.
He said that Emefiele is doing his best to salvage what is left of the economy in this failed administration and wondered why some people want him removed. He pointed fingers at some members of the ruling party who are obviously not happy with the recent policy of redesigning the naira, which is meant to help fight corruption and looting that has been taking place under the APC administration.
Recall that protesters numbering over 200 0n Monday besieged a Federal High court in Abuja following a suit secretly filed by the DSS , accusing the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria of terrorism financing and other crimes
