Two Passengers Shot Dead, Ithers kidnapped In Cross River
Two persons were reportedly shot dead and all other passengers kidnapped in Cross River State by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Friday evening.
According to report, the incident took place at Iwuru axis of Biase-Calabar highway, in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River state.
An eyewitness, Doris Anoh, said that they were fortunate to have heard gunshots coming from a distance, then their driver stopped the vehicle they were driving in by the road side where other vehicles were also parked.
According to her, after about forty-five minutes, the kidnappers drove past and she saw a man in torn clothes ran into the bush to escape the kidnappers.
She said: “We were lucky to have heard gunshots from afar. We had to park by the road with other vehicles for over 45mins before those squad came. I think one person escaped cus we saw a man running out of the bush with torn clothes”.
