The Federal Government of Nigeria and the United Nations are working together to address Nigeria’s humanitarian crisis.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach to tackle the challenges, noting that operating separately wouldn’t be effective.

The United Nations delegation, led by Robert Piper, the Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Solutions to Internal Displacement, also stressed the need for a unified approach to find lasting solutions to the country’s complex humanitarian issues.

They commended the minister’s efforts in visiting areas with critical humanitarian needs and pledged support for addressing the crisis.
