The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has called for unity and peace among Nigerians as Muslims celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
In his message, Okoh emphasized the need for Nigerians to embrace the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith, which the festival symbolizes. He urged citizens to set aside their differences and heed the call for unity and peace.
Okoh said that Nigeria is in dire need of God’s mercy, peace, and unity. He urges all citizens to unite in love, forgiveness, and reconciliation, and to also pray for divine intervention in the security, economic, and political struggles.
The CAN President further stated that Nigeria’s diversity is its strength and that together, Nigerians can overcome any obstacle. He called on all citizens to embrace peace, love, and forgiveness, and work towards building a prosperous Nigeria where everyone can thrive.
Okoh’s message comes as Nigerians celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir festival, which symbolizes the Islamic faith’s core values of sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to God.
