Anambra Police Record Yet Another Breakthrough, Intercept Gun Runner, Recover 275 Live Cartridges

Police Operatives attached to Fegge division, while on patrol along Niger Street, Onitsha, on 15/6/2024 by 1:30 pm, arrested one Felix Owaya ‘M’ aged 48, of Ika South LGA of Delta State and recovered three hundred and Seventy-Five live cartridges.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, today, Monday 17th June, 2024.

SP Ikenga said that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that he was sent by one Mr Charles Ogboma to a man he was yet to mention, to collect the ammunition.

He, however, intimated that investigation is still ongoing.

According to the PPRO, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, while commending Police Officers who made the recovery for their vigilance and tenacity of purpose, directed all personnel in the Command to sustain the tempo of crime prevention and detection in serving the people of the State.
