Leverage technology for business growth, FG tasks traders

The Federal Government has urged traders to embrace technology to grow and expand their businesses. Speaking at an event in Ado Ekiti, Minister of State for Labour, Employment, and Productivity, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, emphasized that marketplaces should become hubs of innovation where traders can leverage technology to enhance their operations.

Represented by Mrs. Grace Adeyeye, Onyejeocha encouraged traders to adopt new business methods in this era of economic transformation.

The minister also reiterated the government’s commitment to improving security benefits and working conditions for market traders, promising more policies to ease their business operations. She assured that the government would collaborate with the National Union of Market Traders Employers of Nigeria (NUMTEN) to provide support, skills development, and financial empowerment to its members.
