The Rivers State Government has granted automatic employment to 76 graduates of PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Port Harcourt. This was announced by the university’s Pro-Chancellor and founder, Dr. Peter Odili, during the institution’s fourth convocation ceremony on Friday.
Dr. Odili also revealed a 100% salary increment for university staff, aligning with new minimum wage regulations. He emphasized PAMO’s commitment to academic and moral excellence, reiterating the institution’s zero-tolerance policies on cultism, harassment, and drug abuse.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who attended the event, inaugurated the Sir Siminalayi Fubara Lecture Theatre and a state-of-the-art medical library. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to peace, security, and development while expressing determination to leave a lasting legacy despite political distractions.
Fubara was also honored with a Doctor of Science degree for his contributions to the university and society.
