A former Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority, Dr George Moghalu, has vowed to tackle insecurity and restore peoples’ confidence, if elected Anambra governor in 2025.

Moghalu stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja.

The former director-general, while responding to a question on the high rate of insecurity, cult-related killings and kidnappings in Anambra, described the situation as a sign of failure of the incumbent government and lack of peoples’ confidence.

According to him, the primary role of government is the security of lives and property of the people, saying should it fail in this regard, it means the people no longer have confidence in it.

Moghalu, also a former National Auditor of All Progressives Congress, said that he was not in the race for personal gains, but presenting himself to the people and for God to use him to impact lives.
