The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for INEC in Anambra State, Dr. Elizabeth Agwu, has reiterated her commitment to free and fair elections in the state.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ dialogue in Awka, themed “Rebuilding Trust in the Electoral Process and Elections,” Agwu highlighted her efforts to make elections “unpurchasable” for politicians.
Agwu disclosed that Anambra achieved the highest PVC distribution under her tenure and warned against selling voter cards, stressing the importance of credible elections.
She also assured transparency in the upcoming Anambra South by-election and the 2025 governorship election, despite concerns raised about INEC’s integrity by stakeholders.
