Efforts to enhance security in Enugu State have gained momentum, with individuals and corporate bodies donating over N3 billion to the Enugu State Security Trust Fund (ESSTF). The contributions were made at a fundraising dinner held at the Old Government Lodge, Enugu.
Chairman of the ESSTF Board, Dr. Ike Chioke, praised Governor Peter Mbah’s administration for its investments in security, stressing the need for collective support to sustain progress. He emphasized that securing lives and property is key to achieving the state’s $30 billion GDP target.
Governor Mbah recalled the security challenges his administration inherited and highlighted ongoing efforts to improve safety.
Business leaders, including businessman and philanthropist Prince Arthur Ezeh, commended the governor’s strides in security and infrastructure, reaffirming their commitment to supporting a safer Enugu.
