The Labour Party (LP) has alleged that its former governorship aspirant in Anambra State, Valentine Ozigbo, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) because of financial difficulties.
In a statement issued in Abuja, the National Publicity Secretary of LP, Obiora Ifoh, claimed that Ozigbo’s decision to join the APC was driven by his desire for financial gain.
Ifoh further stated that Ozigbo’s interest is pecuniary, adding that he has neither the interest of the nation nor Anambra State at heart.
The LP’s response comes after Ozigbo’s recent defection to the APC, where he hopes to realize his governorship ambition in the November 8 poll in Anambra State.
