On Sports News,
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has made history, surpassing Segun Odegbami on Nigeria’s all-time goal scorers chart.
Osimhen netted his 24th international goal during Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on Friday, latching onto a free kick from Ademola Lookman to give Nigeria the lead.
This puts Osimhen second on Nigeria’s scoring list, now chasing Rashidi Yekini’s record of 37 goals.
Playing his first game in the qualifiers, Osimhen achieved the feat in just 39 appearances.
The 26-year-old Galatasaray star is also in fine club form, boasting 20 goals and four assists in 20 Super Lig games this season.
