The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), has urged the NNPC Limited to stick to the 30-day repair deadline for the Port Harcourt refinery.
PETROAN President, Billy Gillis-Harry, warned that any delay could worsen supply disruptions and increase economic hardship.
The association also demanded that the PMS blending unit be included in the maintenance to ensure meaningful output.
PETROAN called for a stakeholders’ task force to monitor the repairs and weekly updates to maintain transparency.
It urged prompt contractor payments and warned that failure to meet the deadline could lead to monopolies, high prices, and fuel scarcity.
