On Foreign News,
Uganda has suspended all military cooperation with Germany over alleged subversive activities by German Ambassador Mathias Schauer.
Army spokesperson Felix Kulayigye announced the decision on Sunday, citing intelligence reports linking the envoy to hostile groups in the country.
The move follows recent accusations against European diplomats of supporting opposition elements ahead of Uganda’s presidential elections.
The German embassy however, has not responded publicly.
Uganda’s action signals growing diplomatic tension, as rights groups accuse the government of intensifying crackdowns on dissent.
The suspension will remain until investigations into the ambassador’s alleged involvement are resolved.
