The Delta State Police Command has arrested a male student for allegedly stabbing a 100-level female student of Southern Delta University, Oleh, and demanding ransom from her family.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, revealed the incident in a statement posted on social media. The suspect reportedly lured the victim to the university auditorium, where he attacked her with a kitchen knife, stabbing her in the neck and chest.
After the brutal act, the suspect used the victim’s phone to contact her father and demand ransom. Edafe described the incident as tragic, blaming it on a lack of home training. The suspect has been paraded as investigations continue.
