The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, says the command is fully prepared to eradicate cultism and other crimes across the state.
In an interview today in Awka, CP Orutugu described cultism as an offshoot of religion, often used as a tool for revenge or social status.
He revealed that the command is working closely with vigilante groups and sister agencies to combat crime using modern strategies.
The commissioner noted that Anambra has generally enjoyed peace, with citizens being industrious and progressive.
He emphasized the importance of education and enlightenment in promoting long-term development across the state and Nigeria at large.
