The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has, in a letter to the late Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, endorsed Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, as his successor.

In statement made available to the press by the National Chairman of the party, Victor Oye, on Thursday, APGA assured the late Igbo leader of making more history.
While nominating Obiano as his successor, the party said the Anambra State governor had redefined governance in Nigeria through his legacy projects, his prudent management of human and material resources, provision of adequate security and regular payment of salaries, pensions and gratuities; describing Anambra State as being the toast of the world.
The letter eulogised Ojukwu, describing his footprints in the sands of time as an inerasable testimony to his accomplishments while on earth.
The letter also contained assurance that the light Ojukwu lot will be kept burning, no matter the intractability of whatever challenges confronted.
