Two officials of Kano State Sports Commission (KSSC) were. Involved in Car Crash following a fatal accident on their way to Kaduna for the Northwest Zonal Elimination of the upcoming National Sports Festival due to take place in Enugu. later, this year. .
It was gathered that the crash occured after Tashar Yari, near Zaria, Kaduna State, approximately 125 kilometers from Kano, along the Kano/Kaduna Expressway where the vehicle conveying the officials was damaged.
The officials involved in the accident include the commission’s accountant, a board member, Ismail Falgore and their driver.
The victims were taken to the hospital and were later discharged, and have all returned to Kano for more medical check up and proper rest.
Speaking on the incident, the Executive Chairman of KSSC, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida thanked God for saving the life of the officials.
He prayed God to continue to safeguard the state contingents, commending the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for his commitment seriously committed and concerned about the safety of the state athletes, coaches and officials.
It would be recalled that Kano is competing alongside, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Jigawa and the host state Kaduna in the Zonal Elimination ahead of the festival proper to take place in Enugu between November and December this year.
