A pastor based in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Joel Adedeji, has recounted how his alleged involvement in money rituals during his younger years brought him temporary financial prosperity but eventually ended in tragedy following an accident that led to the amputation of his leg.

Adedeji made the revelation during an interview with newsmen, , where he narrated how his desperation for wealth and a better life drove him to seek spiritual assistance from a herbalist.

According to him , the herbalist gave him a series of unusual instructions, including having sexual intercourse with a woman of his choice and using a piece of cloth to wipe her private parts afterwards.

He said he complied with the instruction and subsequently began experiencing significant financial improvement.

“The baba said I should look for someone I like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once I am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more,” Adedeji said.

The pastor explained that after carrying out additional instructions, the herbalist warned him that despite the wealth he would acquire, he would never be able to build a house or purchase a car with the money.

He disclosed that he enjoyed the financial prosperity for approximately four to five years before his fortunes eventually changed.

Narrating the circumstances surrounding the loss of his leg, Adedeji said he was involved in an accident involving a vehicle that belonged to him but was being driven by someone he had given money to purchase it.

He recalled that the incident happened unexpectedly, leaving him hospitalised, where one of his legs was subsequently amputated.

“Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated,” he recounted.

Although he linked his past involvement in money rituals to his subsequent misfortune, his account did not establish any independently verified connection between the alleged ritual practices and the accident.

Reflecting on his experience, the pastor cautioned young Nigerians against seeking wealth through questionable spiritual practices and other desperate means.

He urged youths to embrace patience, hard work and legitimate sources of livelihood, stressing the importance of resisting the temptation of instant wealth.
