A serious crash which involved an unidentified driver of Toyota Space Wagon Privia with registration number ENU 10 ZZ and unidentified Nissan Altima Car with registration number AAA 213 AA, occured near NSCDC office, along Awka- Enugu road by 10:10am this morning.
According to FRSC Public Education Officer SRC Florence, eyewitness report stated that the crash was as a result of break failure.
The crash involved a total of (15) persons on board. 11 male adults and 4 female adults.
Seven persons, consisting of 5 male adults and 4 female adults sustained varying degree of injury and were taken to Time Forte and Amaku hospital Awka by FRSC rescue team from Awka Sector Command.
FRSC personnel ground managed the traffic and cleared crashed vehicles to allow free flow of traffic.
The Sector Commander Corps Commander Andrew A Kumapayi wished
the injured accelerated recovery and admonished motorist to ensure constant maintenance of their vehicles in order to prevent road traffic crashes which is avoidable.
