Leadership of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) in Anambra State has declared national prayer sessions for the realisation of Nigerian president of Igbo extraction.
The project which took off recently at Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of the State, was an intercessory prayer for God to pick the next president from the South East of Nigeria.
The Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Anambra Chapter, Bishop John Ndubuisi, in an opening remark, said that justice, equity and fairness demand that for Nigeria to make progress,l after President Buhari, the next president should come from the Igbo nation .
He also commended Evangelist Theo Ejikeme for his strides in making the project a reality.
Earlier, Evangelist Ejikeme while thanking God for gathering the faithful together for the project, said the Igbo presidential project must be built around men of God.
He called for more commitment on members of the clergy as well as reaching out to other Christian families across the country.
Ejikeme also called on the President of Ohaneze Ndigbo to set up committee to co-ordinate aspirants to the presidential seat and select only credible candidates.
Former Chairman, PFN in Anambra, Bishop Moses Ezedebego, President of Indigenous Pastors of Anambra State, Bishop Michael Chukwudum, host pastor of Unifaith Living Church, venue of the event, Pastor Norman Okeorimili, noted that in the past, they had looked at politics as evil and that gave opportunity to people who are not supposed to be on the seat of power to be there.
He also said that time had come to pursue the realisation of Nigerian president of Igbo extraction, and commissioned Evangelist Ejikeme to take the project to all corners of the country.
