Anambra State traditional rulers have condemned, in its entirety, the blockage of Umueri Airport Road by youths.
The traditional rulers made their feelings known in a communiqué issued at the end of their monthly general meeting held at Council Chambers, Government House, Awka, and signed by the Secretary General of the Council, Igwe Pius Omachonu of Olumbanasaa.
According to the communique made available to newsmen, the Council received with serious concern, the news that Umueri youths in Anambra East were obstructing the movement of operational vehicles into and out of the international Airport being constructed by the state government.
The Council condemned in its entirety, attempt by the youths of Umueri or any group of youths or persons from any part of the state, to obstruct the progress of work being carried out at the international Airport, for whatever reason.
