Wife of Anambra State Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obìano, has visited Onitsha North and South Local Government Areas in continuation of her 2020 tour of the twenty-one Local Council Areas of the State.
During the visit, Chief Mrs Obiano through her NGO, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFE), supported indigent widows, less privileged persons, the physically challenged and other poor persons selected from all the eight districts under the two local government areas with palliatives.
On arrival at Onitsha North Council headquarters, the governor’s wife was received by the Transition Chairman, Honourable Patrick Mbah, Commissioner for Agriculture, Honourable Nnamdi Onukwube, APGA BoT Member, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, Obiozo Ezigbo, Chief Tony Nezieanya, as well as other party stakeholders and faithful in the council area.
The Governor’s wife tasked Transition Committee Chairmen, traditional rulers and other community leaders to always notify the Authorities of bad roads in their various local government areas, as government might not always be aware of such development.
She pledged state government’s determination to continue to place high premium on the welfare of the people.
Chief Mrs Obiano will continue her tour of Local Governments in Anambra State on Monday, with Idemmili North and South Council Areas.
