
The remains of late Ezinne Mary Rose Nnenne Umezika (Nee Ndibunwa) was Yesterday, November 12, 2021 committed to mother earth at her compound in Umumonye Umueze, Uga in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
She died at the age of 74.
Delivering the sermon during the burial, the Catholic bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Ebelechukwu Peter Okpalaeke urged Christians to always be prepared for death because, it is a debt everyone must pay and no one knows when it will come.
Describing the deceased as an epitome of love and encouragement to everyone around her, he expressed his condolences to mama’s family and urged them to follow the good steps she left behind.

In a tribute, mama’s son, Rev. Fr Innocent Ifeanyichukwu Umezika (Mmadukaejiaka) who flew in from Canada to bury his mum in grand style, describing her as nwanyi igwe di asọ ( heavenly saint mother); virtuous, industrious, supportive and accommodating.
Thanking God for a life well spent, he prayed that the legacy she left behind will never be in vain.
Mama’s husband, Nze Stephen Umezikam while speaking, expressed that his late wife has lent some colour to history and left her giant footprints on the sand of Uga land.


In their separate interviews, mama’s sons and daughters described their mum as “Ezinne”, peaceful and patient mum who took care of everyone around her. They prayed God to rest her soul.





The event was graced by many friends, relatives, well wishers, catholic faithfuls, Rev. Father’s, Rev. Sisters and others came to pay their last respects to the deceased.
