Liverpool’s 26-game Premier League unbeaten streak ended Sunday with a 3-2 defeat to Fulham, as manager Arne Slot blamed basic defensive errors for the loss.
Despite leading through a brilliant Alexis Mac Allister strike, the Reds conceded three first-half goals in 14 minutes, courtesy of Sessegnon, Iwobi, and Muniz, following a string of sloppy mistakes.
Luis Diaz pulled one back in the second half, but Liverpool couldn’t complete the comeback. Captain Virgil van Dijk also came under fire after being outmuscled for Fulham’s third goal.
Slot said the team must return to the basics and use their lighter schedule to refocus ahead of their April 13 clash with West Ham.
