
Nigeria Police has gone after looters who vandalized and looted private and public properties under the guise of EndSARS protests.
All together, no fewer than 483 suspected looters have been arrested in Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Osun , Anambra, Kano and Plateau states.
On Sunday, it was reported that no fewer than 40 persons have been arrested in connection with the looting at the Salon Gari area of the Fagge Local Government Area of Kano state on Tuesday. This was disclosed by the Public Relations Officer of the state Of the state police command , Abdullahi Haruna.
He said that the looters were caught in various parts of Sabon Gari with the looted goods which are now in the police custody.
In Akwa Ibom state, the commissioner of Police, Andrew Amiengheme also said that the command had attended 10 suspected looters from Thursday’s looting spree of private and Government’s establishment in the state. They command said that they recovered stolen goods estimated at several millions of naira.
In Anambra, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Haruna Mohammed said six persons had been arrested in the state for looting .
It will be recalled that the EndSARS peaceful protest was hijacked by hoodlums after the shooting of protesters by Soldiers in Lekki, Lagos.
