Police-Led Security Force Dislodge Criminal Camp In Ogbunka: Warns Joint Security Force Shall Continue To Deny Unrepentant Criminals Space To Commit Havoc In Anambra
The Police-led Joint Security Team comprising the Army, from the 302 Artillery Regiment (GS), Navy from the Naval Command, Department of State Security, Anambra State Vigilante, acting on information received over time dislodged a criminal Camp at Ogbunka.
The Joint Security Team in a six-hour gun battle with the armed criminals, due to its superior firepower diffused some explosives used as shields on the camp by the hoodlums.
The team also recovered a lot of relief materials like pots, foodstuffs and parts of dismembered suspected stolen vehicles even as some of the criminals escaped with various degrees of bullet injuries.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, PPR, who disclosed this in a statement, informed that the Operatives have taken over the area to sustain security dominance aimed at addressing any untoward situation that may arise and to possibly arrest fleeing suspects.
Anambra State Police Command has, therefore, assured, on behalf of other security agencies, that the confidence reposed on her by Ndi Anambra and residents alike for the protection of lives and properties is not taken for granted.
