Power Outage As National Grid Collapses

Report has it that the national grid has collapsed again, leading to power outage in some parts of the country.

This was made known on Sunday afternoon by Eko Electricity Distribution Company, and Kaduna Electric.

In it’s official Twitter page, Eko Electricity told their customers that the outage they are experiencing was due to a system collapse on the National Grid. The post said that they are working with their TCN partners to restore supply as soon as possible while also apologising for the inconveniences.

In the same vein, Kaduna Electric in it’s Twitter post, said that they regret the loss of power supply in their franchise – Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, while attributing it to the collapse of the national grid. It also announced that the collapse occurred at about 11:26 am.
They promised to restore supply as soon as possible.

According to report, the grid is managed by government-owned Transmission Company of Nigeria and has continued to suffer system collapse over the years.
