.Management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has approved Wednesday, 21st January 2026, as the date for commencement of Batch A Stream One Orientation exercise across 36 states of the federation and the FCT.
The Director, PRS, Nura Umar, disclosed this in a statement signed on behalf of the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu.
The statement informed that registration for the exercise would commence on Wednesday January 21 and end midnight of Friday January 23, 2026.
It added that the Swearing-in Ceremony will hold on Friday, 23rd January, 2026, while the Closing Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 10th February, 2026.
The Director General advised the prospective corps members to avoid night journeys while travelling, and further urged them to adhere strictly to the orientation schedule to ensure smooth and successful orientation programme.
The statement wished them all safe travels to their respective states of deployment.
