Aspire FC Adazi-Ani kept to their promise to promote a club to NLO through Anambra football Super8 Tournament, GP World Football Academy on Saturday emerged Champions of the first inaugural edition of my Anambra Super8 tournament after a 4:3 defeat to Konti FC Umunnachi with the winner price of 500,000 with NLO slot to play in the National league One, while the Konti FC 300,000 and Mekon FC with 200,000.

“My Anambra Football’ it’s a movement and a call to Anambrarians to join hands in reawakening, re-inventing and supporting the new brand my Anambra football initiative in Anambra state, and this is the first time this players and Clubs gain such promotion and publicity in Anambra state.

Chief Mike Umeh the former First vice president NFF, and former FA Chairman Anambra state performed the kick off of my Anambra football Super8 tournament finals.

The entertaining, tough final match ended 1-1 in the regulation time before going into penalities which separated the champions from the runners-up, Konti took the lead in the 5th minute and were on the verge of running away with the giant trophy before Adina Odinaka restored parity from the spot in the 88th minutes, both teams went into penalty shoot-outs where GP World FA beat Konti FC 4:3 to win the first edition of my Anambra Super8 tournament.

(Obu nanka na Nanka ), Chief Rammy Rojenny ( Ogilishi igbo), Engr Johobosco Onunkwo, among others.

“My Anambra Football’ is an initiative which seeks to raise the social consciousness among Anambra football enthusiasts and stakeholders and urge the private sectors, individuals to join hands promote the brand, and released a theme song for the tournament.
The song titled, Re-awakening, (‘my Anambra football’ theme song) was written and performed by renowned gyration and theme songs specialist, Austino Milado who made waves with his ‘Super Eagles ‘wetin dey happen’ hit song.

This Super 8 Tournament is organised by “My Anambra Football” organisation* as part of it’s “Next 10” year plan to reawaken football in Anambra State.

My Anambra Football is a public sector and private sector platform geared towards developing and promoting Anambra State Football through investments in physical infrastructure, technical training, promotion and access to global markets.

The current members of this platform are Aspire FC Adazi-Ani, New Age Mobile Concepts Ltd, Sims Nigeria Limited, GUO Transport Company, Neros Pharmaceuticals, Spine Communications and Anambra State Football Association.
