Hon. ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh joins the entire Catholic community, to witness the installation Mass of the second Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese.

The founder of Uzokamma Foundation as well as former APGA gubernatorial aspirant, Hon. ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh on Thursday, February 10th 2022, joined the entire Catholic community, Bishop, Priests and other notable dignitaries to witness the installation Mass of the second Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev Jonas Benson Okoye.

The Installation Mass of Bishop Okoye as the second Bishop of the diocese held at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Nnewi was officiated by the Apostolic Nuncio to Nigeria, Archbishop Antonio Guido Filipazzi, who represented the Holy Father Pope Francis and assisted by Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke.

Also present at the event were the President Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Nigeria, Archbishop Augustine Akabueze, the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria, hundreds of priests, religious and seminarians.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the mass, Hon. ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh described the newly installed Catholic Prelate, Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye as a committed man of God who has over the years channelled his energies to evangelism, growth of mankind and growth of the church.

He described the installation as a remarkable phase in the history of the diocese and the Catholic Church, encouraged the new bishop to discharge the responsibilities the Almighty God has entrusted upon his shoulders with humility, love and dedication.

Hon. ThankGod also prayed God to grant him the patience and strength to pilot the affairs of the flock entrusted unto his care without fear or favour, admonishing the diocesan laity and religious to support the new Bishop in prayers and inaction to enable him to achieve the desired result even as he reiterated his support for the church of God and His ministers.
