NDLEA Operatives Arrest 8 Suspected Bandits In Ondo Forest

The operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested eight (8) suspected bandits said to have been terrorizing farmers in Ondo State.

According to NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi identified the suspects as: 47 year old Austin Dickson, the gang leader, Sunday Adekunle, 31; Kayode Oluwaseun, 29; Kolawole Kazeem, 33; Oladimeji Makinde, 37; Emeka Charles, 46; Ojo Oluwadare, 40; and Lanre Oluwajana, 44.

According to him, the operatives arrested the suspects on Friday, 2nd September 2022, while combing the Ala forest in Akure North LGA of the state for a drug Lord in the area.

He said that items recovered from the suspects include, 25 bags of cannabis sativa weighing 296kgs; Six explosive devices; six cartridges; four motorcycles and assorted charms used in terrorising farmers in the Forest.
