Anambra Govt. Warns NASWDEN Against Collection Of Fees From Members
Anambra State Government says it has come to its attention that in spite of the suspension of fee collection from Wielders/Scrap Metal and Metal Fabricators in the state, agents of National Association of Scrap And Waste Dealers of Nigeria, NASWDEN, have continued to operate in violation of government’s directive.
A release signed by the Commissioner For Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, said it is also on record that NASWDEN neither sought nor obtained any approval from Anambra state government before engaging in what they are currently doing.
Government, therefore, called on the association to immediately discontinue their fee collection from Scrap, Metal, welding and fabrication businesses.
The release also warned that any further violation of the directive will attract stiff sanctions.
