Potential Investors Called To Invest In Anambra Blessed With Natural Resources.

The Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Mr Collins Nwabunwanne, has called on potential investors to invest in Anambra state, blessed with human and natural resources.
He made the call during an interactive session organized by the Anambra state Protection and Promotion Agency, ANSIPPA, in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, held at the International Conference Center, Awka.
Commissioner Nwabunwanne expressed readiness to partner ANSIPPA, Chairmen in the twenty-one local governments of the state, as well as other grassroots organizations to identify raw materials and Market them to investors.
He explained that the interactive session would go a long way in identifying and promoting opportunities in the state in order to achieve Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of transforming the state into a livable, prosperous and Smart Megacity for the future of Ndi Anambra.
He further explained that interacting with communities to identify their individual investment potential and raw material deposits will go a long way in promoting Anambra State as number one investment destination in Nigeria.
The MD/CEO ANSIPPA, Mr Mark Okoye, pointed out that people need to understand that there are many ways of transforming the state as ANSIPPA is focused on Five Solution pillars of Security, law, and order, Economic transformation and infrastructure, Human Capital and Social agenda, Governance, rule of law and value system and Environment.
On his part, the Statistician General and Managing Director, Anambra State Bureau of Statistics, Mr Obiora Obiabunbunmou, expressed optimism that the interactive session would help to identify and promote opportunities in localities and assured his commitment towards ensuring that Data is Collated to digtize the state.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Barrister Mrs Pauline Nwandu in a remark, noted that most of the things deliberated on are not new to her ministry as she is passionately committed to ensuring that investment opportunities strive in the state, calling on everyone to key into promoting investments.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation, Mrs Chinwe Okoli, educated the participants on ways to reposition the state as Center of Excellence for human capital development and proactively leapfrog youths as Africans digital tribe.
In their separate reactions, the Transition Committee Chairman of Aguata, Prince Chibuike Oforbuike, that of Anambra West, Honourable Felix Okechi among Others advocated investment in Agriculture and provision of conducive environment for investors to thrive.
Some of the participants including the Deputy Mayor for Awka South, Mr Ikechukwu Anene and HOD BPRS, Ajalli, in Orumba North Council Area, Mrs Grace Anene, assured that they would be part of the success story, and called for Data sourcing and collation on monthly basis to achieve the vision and sustainability.
