Nigeria will host the 61st Africa Day celebration from May 24 to 27 in Abuja, with delegates and speakers from over 35 countries expected to attend.
Mr. Young Piero, Director of Parliament for the Africa Union Simulation, announced this during a press briefing. The event will focus on continental unity, a borderless Africa, intra-African trade, youth and women’s inclusion, and the African Union’s Vision 2030 for a single passport.
Cultural exchange and patriotism will also be key themes. Organizers say the event aims to strengthen Africa’s collective voice and progress. A “liberation walk” is planned to celebrate freedom and unity across the continent.
