Despite the lean resources of Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has pledged to settle all outstanding entitlements of workers and prioritize the recruitment of health workers.
Governor Aiyedatiwa made this commitment during the annual prayer organized by civil servants to mark the beginning of the new working year. Assuring public servants of his dedication to their welfare, he promised prompt payment of salaries, addressing inherited arrears, and providing training, retraining, and necessary tools for an efficient 21st-century civil service.
Aiyedatiwa affirmed the government’s commitment to strengthen the health sector by proceeding with the approved recruitment of health workers. He assured that filling vacancies would be a regular practice to meet evolving needs.
While encouraging civil servants to focus on their duties and avoid partisan politics during the upcoming governorship election, the governor emphasized that maintaining peace in the state is non-negotiable. He urged politicians to refrain from treating the election as a do-or-die affair.
As part of efforts to foster development, Governor Aiyedatiwa promised to attract investors to Ondo State, providing opportunities for economic progress.
The Head of Service in Ondo State, Kayode Ogundele, commended the governor for his consistent support in addressing issues affecting public servants. Stay tuned for further updates on developments in Ondo State.
