
Vice-President Kashim Shettima has affirmed the commitment of the Bola Tinubu administration to safeguarding the rights of all Nigerians, irrespective of religious beliefs.
Speaking at the 6th Nigeria World Maulid anniversary national conference in Lagos, Shettima emphasized the importance of accountability and upholding Prophet Muhammad’s teachings of fairness and inclusivity.
Shettima highlighted the Prophet’s guidance in managing a diverse society, promoting peace through dialogue, kindness, and tolerance.
Acknowledging challenges faced by the nation, he urged Nigerians to lead by example and recognize their intellectual, spiritual, and moral capabilities.
Expressing gratitude for a special prayer session by Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya, where the Quran was recited 4,444 times for Nigeria and its leader, Shettima underscored the nation’s duty to ensure religious freedom without fear or discrimination.
Encouraging the building of a nation that upholds individual dignity, group rights, and the essence of tolerance, Shettima called on Nigerians to embrace the Prophet’s teachings in fulfilling the nation’s obligations. He commended Jam’iyyatu Ansariddeen Attijaniyya for promoting peaceful coexistence among different religious communities.
