Hon. Romanus Ibekwe Vows to Transform Anaocha, Call for Unity And Progressive Governance

On Friday, July 5, 2024, the new Anaocha Transition Chairman, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, warmly welcomed the people of Anaocha Local Government Area and all stakeholders at a grand ceremony held at the Secretariat Complex in Neni. In his inaugural address, Hon. Ibekwe emphasized his commitment to inclusive governance, promising to work diligently to serve all residents of Anaocha, regardless of their political affiliations.
In his speech, Hon. Ibekwe assured the audience of his open-door policy, inviting anyone with concerns or dissatisfaction to engage with his office constructively. He highlighted the support of key figures such as Ikeobi Ejifor, MD/CEO Anambra State water resource management Agency, and Hon. Patrick Estate Onyedum, Commissioner for Sports Development, in realizing the governor’s vision for the area. “With the collaboration of all stakeholders, we will ensure that the governor’s objectives are protected and achieved,” he stated.
Hon. Ibekwe emphasized the transformative agenda he has for Anaocha, declaring this period as “Youth O’clock” and a moment of significant change. He commended Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo for entrusting him with this responsibility and pledged not to disappoint. He extended his gratitude to all who attended the ceremony, expressing his willingness to listen to ideas that would propel Anaocha forward. He called upon ward chairmen, women leaders, ward secretaries, youth leaders, and other executive members of the council to join hands in this mission.
Looking ahead, Hon. Ibekwe announced that his programs and manifesto would soon be unveiled, promising that the local government area would witness the positive impacts of good governance. He urged all APGA members to unite and reach out to those who had left the party, emphasizing the importance of solidarity in re-electing Governor Soludo for a second term. “It is our duty to deliver the governor for a second tenure,” he declared, rallying the support of all party members for the continued progress and development of Anaocha.
