Kenyan police have launched an investigation after discovering the mutilated bodies of six women in a Nairobi slum on Friday.
The bodies, found in piles of garbage at a dump site in Mukuru, were in various stages of decomposition, wrapped in nylon papers, and tied with nylon ropes.
The horrifying discovery sparked an angry crowd near the police station, leading officers to fire tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse them.
Witnesses initially reported nine bodies, but police confirmed six.
Preliminary investigations indicate all victims were killed similarly, but details remain undisclosed.
The bodies have been taken to the city morgue for postmortem examinations.
