The Bayelsa State Ministry of Sports Development has begun preparations for the 2024 National Sports Festival (NSF), set to take place early next year in Ogun State.
Dr. Daniel Igali, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports Development, announced this during a meeting with sports association chairmen, coaches, and staff.
The state aims to clinch the first position, having previously finished 3rd and 2nd at the Edo 2020 and Delta 2022 NSF.
He said that Governor Douye Diri’s goal is to surpass these achievements. Igali emphasized the need for proper planning to meet this target and commended the ministry’s commitment to achieving national and global recognition.
