Tragedy has struck China’s northeastern province of Liaoning, where heavy rains have led to the deaths of eleven people, with 14 others still missing.

State broadcaster CCTV reported that the flooding, which hit Huludao City particularly hard, caused severe damage to infrastructure, including roads, electricity, and communications, especially in Jianchang and Suizhong counties.

During a press conference on Friday, officials confirmed that 10 people had died, and an additional person lost their life while attempting to save others.

Rescue operations are ongoing, and over 50,000 residents have been evacuated as the search for the missing continues. Stay tuned for further updates.
